　　投射效應(projection effect)

　　Ø中文含義：

　　投射效應是指將自己的特點歸因到其他人身上的傾向。在認知和對他人形成印象時，以為他人也具備與自己相似的特性的現象，把自己的感情、意志、特性投射到他人身上并強加于人，即推己及人的認知障礙。比如，一個心地善良的人會以為別人都是善良的;一個經常算計別人的人就會覺得別人也在算計他等等。(以小人之心度君子之腹;五十步笑百步)

　　Ø英文釋義：

　　The act of imaging that sb is thinking the same as you and is reacting in the same way. It is likely to give rise to misunderstanding, discord and anxiety, leaving the problem unsolved or even worsened.

　　Stressmay alsoarise from one’s weaknessin properly dealing with interpersonal relationship. 　　Chinses parentsareuniversally famed/reputed for the high demand and expectation they cherish for their kids. From the moment the children are born, they are expected tostep on and follow the life path perfectly paved by their parents. Parents shall never be unfairly criticized for hoping the good for their offspring. Nevertheless what is worth mentioning here is that most parents maybe prone to projection effect, deciding on everything for their children according to their own preference instead of their kids’. Consequently, kids start to become uneasy and rebellious.
